Northern Ireland striker Martin Paterson is reportedly headed stateside and could be set to sign with Orlando City SC.
A tweet by Sky Sports reporter Amy Lewis indicated that the 27-year-old Paterson, currently with English Championship side Huddersfield Town, was flying to Orlando on Tuesday for a physical.
Paterson has been with Huddersfield since 2013, during which time he was sent on loans to Bristol City and Fleetwood Town, and has 22 caps with the Northern Ireland national team.
The much-traveled Paterson has also spent time with Stoke City, Grimsby Town, Scunthorpe United and Burnley.
With just one forward currently on the roster in Young Designated Player Brian Rochez, the position is clearly a need for the expansion club ahead of the 2015 season. However, it was reported that OCSC have also signed Jairo Arrieta and Danny Mwanga, with no official announcement yet from the club.
