El Niño could soon be hitting North American shores.
According to a FutbolMLS.com report, Spanish forward Fernando Torres has offers from three different MLS clubs. The 31-year-old striker is currently on loan to La Liga club Atletico Madrid from Serie A side AC Milan, but is reportedly unlikely to have his stay at his boyhood club extended beyond this season and is looking for a move abroad. His current contract is set to expire after the 2016-17 season.
Torres began his career with Atletico Madrid in 2001, and played with English clubs Liverpool and Chelsea before moving to Milan on loan in 2014. He re-joined Atletico in January 2015, and scored his 100th goal for the club on Saturday. He has 155 goals in 403 career appearances in league play.
A key member of the Spain teams that won Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012, Torres has 38 goals in 110 career international appearances. In addition to helping Spain to the 2010 World Cup title, Torres played for La Furia Roja at the 2002, 2006 and 2014 tournaments.
