An intriguing interconference match is ahead with Toronto FC playing host to the LA Galaxy on Saturday evening at BMO Field. TFC had their MLS winless run extended to four games in their last league game, a 3-0 loss at the New York Red Bulls, leaving them in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Galaxy sit in a tie for fourth place in the West, returning to league play following a scoreless home draw with Sporting KC in their last MLS game, extending their winless streak to four league games.

- Toronto FC were shut out at the attacking end for a second consecutive match, their win-less streak now at four matches following a 3-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls on May 28. TFC’s current goal-less streak is at 228 minutes, tied for ninth-longest in MLS this season.
- The Galaxy had their win-less run extended to four matches last time out, reaching a scoreless draw with Sporting Kansas City on June 2 at StubHub Center. It was the Galaxy’s fourth draw in their last six matches.
