Collen Warner and Issey Nakajima-Farran are changing addresses, but they will both remain in Canada.
Toronto FC and the Impact announced Friday morning that they have agreed to a trade that will see TFC send Nakajima-Farran and allocation money to Montreal in exchange for Warner. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 25-year-old Warner joins the Reds after three seasons in Montreal during which he made a combined 66 appearances, scored one goal and had an assist in all competitions. Warner was acquired by the Impact in the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft after being left exposed by Real Salt Lake and was originally drafted in the first round (15th overall) of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft from the University of Portland.
“We felt the need to acquire an experienced MLS central midfielder like Collen Warner was necessary as we approach the break, coupled with the loss of Michael [Bradley] to the US National Team,” Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement. “Collen provides a different look in the midfield for us and to be successful in this league you need to be multidimensional. Collen is someone we strongly admire as a player and who believe can help us achieve our goals. We are pleased to welcome Collen to Toronto FC and expect him to fit in well with our group. We’d also like to thank Issey for all of his contributions to our club and wish him well in Montreal.”

Montreal, meanwhile, acquire Nakajima-Farran on his 30th birthday. The Canadian international, who has appeared for his country 30 times, made seven appearances across all competitions and scored twice during his first stint in MLS. Nakajima-Farran signed with Toronto in late March.
"We are very pleased to be able to add Issey Nakajima-Farran to our roster," Impact coach Frank Klopas said in a statement. "He is a player whose qualities will fit well within our group and style of play. We feel his experience with both the national team and abroad will benefit our team."
The Impact visit Toronto FC on May 28 for the first leg of the Amway Canadian Championship, but both Warner and Nakajima-Farran are cup-tied and not eligible to play for their new clubs.
