It's allegedly the richest match in soccer and US men's national team fans had more than a passing interest in it on Tuesday.
US international center back Tim Ream started and played the full 120 minutes for Fulham FC as they reached the English Premier League in the Championship promotion playoff against Brentford. The Cottageers reached the top flight as they return to the EPL following their relegation after the 2018/19 season.
The match entered extratime after a scoreless 90 minutes, with Joe Bryan scoring two goals in extratime as the game ended 2-1.
Ream has been a key figure for Fulham this season, starting 47 of their 49 league matches. The 32-year-old has been with the London club since 2015. Ream has 40 caps with the US, with 14 of them coming in 2019 as he was a fixture for Gregg Berhalter during the Gold Cup and Concacaf Nations League.
