Three MLS players called up to Canada U-20 team for England friendly

Canada Under-20 national team head coach Rob Gale has called up a squad ahead of the team's friendly against England in Doncaster, England on March 27.


The team features three MLS professionals -- Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper Marco Carducci and midfielder Marco Bustos, and Toronto FC forward Jordan Hamilton (pictured above) -- and several other players who play professionally on the USL level for MLS-owned teams.


The friendly against England is meant to provide the players with international experience, according to a release from the Canadian Soccer Association. The team will train for a total of eight days in England, beginning on March 21, in addition to playing the friendly.
