HOUSTON, TX - Three members of the Houston Dynamo Youth Development System, presented by StatoilHydro, were named to a 20-man roster for the United States U-15 national team's upcoming trip to Germany, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced today. The trip will include a match against a youth team from Borussia Moenchengladbach on May 19 and a friendly with the German U-15 national team on May 21.
Midfielder Bryan Celis (Katy Mayde Creek H.S.) and goalkeeper Fernando Piña (Challenge Early College H.S.) represent the Dynamo Academy, while forward Erick Sanchez (Edinburg H.S.) was called in from the Dynamo South Texas Academy. All three players have prior experience with United States youth national teams.
"This is a great achievement for the players," Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson said. "This event will provide a great opportunity for all of them to be selected for the U-17 residency program."
The Dynamo Youth Development System is currently accepting registration for kids' camps (ages 5-12) in June and July and the next Dynamo Elite Camp June 8-11 for boys (tryouts for the Dynamo Academy) and June 15-18 for girls.
