Three members of the Houston Dynamo Youth Development System were called into camp with the United States U-15 national team, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced Monday.
Midfielder Bryan Celis (Katy Mayde Creek H.S.) and goalkeeper Fernando Piña (Challenge Early College H.S.) represent the Dynamo Academy, while forward Erick Sanchez, from Edinburg, was called in from the Dynamo South Texas Academy. All three players have prior experience with United States youth national teams.
"It's a great opportunity for these three kids, and as always, we wish them luck," Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson said. "We look forward to their continued development with the Dynamo and to more Academy players hopefully getting recognized for the national team."
The Dynamo Youth Development System is currently accepting registration for seasonal camps (ages 6-12) in March, June, and July and the next Dynamo Elite Camp (Academy tryouts) in June. Registration will begin shortly for the Dynamo Centers of Excellence (ages 8-12), which begin in late March and run throughout the spring.
