DALLAS - FC Dallas President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the kiosk for the team at the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco is now open. Fans have the opportunity to select and purchase season tickets right on-site for the 2005 FC Dallas home schedule at Pizza Hut Park. The complex is set to open on August 6 when FC Dallas hosts the NY/NJ MetroStars at 7:30 p.m.
"The Stonebriar Mall is the ideal location for FC Dallas to open an informational kiosk for our fans mainly due to the amount of traffic the mall hosts each day," said Elliott. "This is just another part of our multi-dimensional outreach to spread the word to prospective fans about the world-class Pizza Hut Park and first-place FC Dallas through the main vein in Collin County."
The kiosk is located on the first level directly below the food court and in close proximity to the mall's ice rink. It is staffed by FC Dallas ticket sales representatives during the duration that the mall is open to the public. The kiosk is decorated with player jerseys, action photos and pocket schedules along with two computers. One of the computers runs an FC Dallas ticketing and suites promotional video in order to enlighten people on the numerous amenities of Pizza Hut Park. The second computer offers the Seats 3-D feature that allows fans to get a virtual tour of the new stadium and helps them visualize every viewing location. The Seats-3D aspect also provides views and season ticket package pricing from every section, plus sights and perspectives of the Stadium Club, the suites and the group plaza terraces.
FC Dallas already holds their weekly radio show every Thursday from 6 - 7 p.m. at Dave and Buster's in the Stonebriar Mall on KFCD 990 AM. FC Dallas English radio play-by-play man Ray Canevari hosts the show, while players from the team join Canevari live from Dave and Buster's. The club will soon implement a player appearance policy where a team member will do the radio show and then sign autographs at the kiosk for an hour from 7 - 8 p.m. The player appearance's main objective is to allow the players the opportunity to interact with the sports fans of Collin County and help educate them on the various aspects of Pizza Hut Park.
