With Saturday's MLS Cup final, the 2017 season officially came to a close and all sights are now set on the offseason wheeling and dealing that officially kicked off with Contract Deadline Day on Nov. 27.
Next up on the schedule is a busy Sunday, Dec. 10 with the opening of a half-day trade window, the announcement of contract decisions by both MLS Cup finalists and the release of the Expansion Draft lists (eligible and protected players) ahead of the Dec. 12 Expansion Draft, when Los Angeles Football Club will add five new players to their roster.
MLS Free Agency also officially begins on Dec. 12 immediately following the conclusion of the Expansion Draft, and the Waiver Draft comes a day later on Wednesday.
The week wraps up with Stage 1 of the Re-Entry Draft which will be held on Dec. 15, followed the next week by Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft on Dec. 21.
