The Seattle Sounders and New England Revolution look to rebound from sobering Week 22 losses when they square off at CenturyLink Field Saturday afternoon.
It's now back-to-back defeats at home for the Sounders (11-7-5) following a 3-2 setback to Sporting Kansas City on Sunday. Felipe Gutierrez scored a first-half brace to give the visitors a two-goal halftime lead. Jordan Morris pulled the Seattle to within a goal in the opening minute of the second half, but Erik Hurtado made it 3-1 just 12 minutes later. Morris bagged his second in the 82nd minute to put a jolt in the home fans, but an equalizer was not to be found.
The Revolution (9-9-6) suffered a first league defeat under Bruce Arena's watch, falling 2-0 to LAFC last Saturday at Gillette Stadium. Diego Rossi and Latif Blessing scored a goal in each half to sink New England, snapping an 11-match unbeaten streak.
