Columbus Crew SC started stronger and controlled more of the tempo on Saturday afternoon at CenturyLink Field, but the Seattle Sounders had Jordan Morris.
The rookie striker was quickest to a loose ball in the Crew SC goalmouth in the final minutes, finishing the game-winner from close range after a strong run by Joevin Jones to earn Seattle a 1-0 win over Columbus. The goal is Morris' third of the season and his third in three games.
Paced by the influential Wil Trapp, the visitors' movement and possession mastery seemed to have earned them a road point, only for a spirited, sun-splashed Rave Green crowd to roar their team on to the victory, their third in five.

Three Things
1. SOUNDERS WEATHER STORM: Crew SC were first out of the traps in this one, passing well and using the full expanse of the pitch as the hosts had to chase. But the Ohioans' moves broke down in the final third time and time again, allowing Seattle to haul themselves back into the game, spearheaded by Morris, Clint Dempsey and Osvaldo Alonso.
2. FREI, CLARK SHINE: With both teams opening up the tempo as the match unfolded, both goalkeepers were called upon to make key one-on-one saves and both stood tall, keeping the score much lower than it should've been given the 32 total shots, 12 of them on target.
3. MOMENTUM FOR J-MO: Morris' early 2016 struggles have been well documented and he was wasteful at times in this one, with several decisions made poorly or too slowly. He showed predatory instincts after Jones' good work in the decisive moment, however, and it could prove a crucial confidence boost as he chases a Copa America invite from the US national team.
