Two teams hovering around the playoff line in both conferences meet at Avaya Stadium on Saturday night, as the San Jose Earthquakes host Orlando City SC.
The Earthquakes (12-10-5) set MLS records with 43 shots and 19 efforts on target in a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps last Saturday night at Avaya Stadium. One minute after Jake Nerwinski put the visitors in front, Judson leveled in the 7th minute. Chris Wondolowski scored his 155th career goal in the 34th minute and Andres Rios added his first in the 73rd minute for the Quakes. They are in sixth place in the West and four points above the playoff line.
Orlando City SC (9-12-7) continue to search for a first win over rival Atlanta United following a 1-0 defeat at Exploria Stadium last Friday night. Josef Martinez scored the lone goal in the 60th minute, extending his MLS record to 12 consecutive games with a goal. The Lions are three points below the playoff line in the East.
