TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The San Jose Earthquakes announced on Friday they have signed defender Paul Marie. The 12th overall 2018 MLS SuperDraft selection for the Quakes, Marie has been sent on loan to USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC, with the right of recall at any time this season.
The 22-year-old begins his professional career after playing collegiate soccer at Florida International University and Newberry College. He made 52 appearances at FIU, scoring 14 goals and 14 assists, earning Third Team All-America honors his senior season.
Marie is a native of France, and had previously played for the U-16 French national team and in the youth ranks of Ligue 1 side Caen.
