According to Venezuelan soccer outlet Solovenex, the 17-year-old forward Cristian Casseres Jr. is set to head to American soccer, and specifically to the New York Red Bulls:
Casseres appeared 13 times in the Venezuelan Primera Division for Deportivo La Guaira, scoring once. He would sign as a free transfer with his current contract expiring at the end of the year, according to Solovenex.
Casseres', Cristian Casseres Sr., has played internationally for the El Vinotinto. And despite turning 40 in June, he made seven appearances this season for Metropolitanos, another Venezuelan top flight club.
