TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
Radamel Falcao has been lighting it up in Ligue 1 for Monaco, but could he be making a move stateside?
The 32-year-old is rumored to be on the move this summer, and one potential landing spot could be Atlanta United, according to a report from Colombia's Antena 2. The report states that Atlanta have already made a bid for Falcao, offering him $4 million per year.
Falcao is currently the captain of the Colombian national team and expected to play in the World Cup in Russia this summer. It will be the culmination of a long journey for the striker, whose star rose rapidly as he scored at will for Porto and then Atletico Madrid prior to the last World Cup. After a high-profile move to Monaco in 2013, he tore his ACL ahead of the 2014 World Cup and missed the cut to make that tournament.
But after a slow recovery following that, he went on season-long loan moves to Manchester United and Chelsea, respectively, and upon his return to Monaco for the 2016-17 season, he experienced a renaissance, helping the principality to a surprise Ligue 1 title that season.
