The LA Galaxy may have impressed as a whole on Sunday, but Robbie Keane stole the show.
Keane put forth his latest masterpiece atop the Galaxy attack, scoring two goals and assisting on two others in a 5-1 rout of New York City FC on Sunday. The dominant display not only kept Keane's recent strong run of form going, but it also saw the veteran forward voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 25 by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).
The award is Keane’s third Player of the Week selection of 2015, tying him with Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco for the most nods among all MLS players this season.
It took Keane 36 minutes to help push the Galaxy ahead, feeding Gyasi Zardes for the opener at StubHub Center. The Irishman then took it up a notch after halftime, netting in the 54th minute via a neat chip before setting up Giovani Dos Santos 13 minutes later.
Keane capped the scoring nine minutes before the final whistle, tapping home a cross from Robbie Rogers to record his second straight multi-goal game.

The Galaxy DP also came close to scoring early midway through the first half but was denied by the crossbar.
The MLS Player of the Week is voted on each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
