RFK Stadium to host U.S. vs. Costa Rica Qualifier

D.C. United, in conjunction with the U.S. Soccer Federation, have announced RFK Stadium will host the U.S. Men's National Team on October 14 in a World Cup qualification match versus Costa Rica. Kickoff time and ticket information will be announced at a later date.

Last year, RFK Stadium hosted a Semifinal Round World Cup Qualifier between the United States and Cuba, which saw the U.S. advance to the final round of qualifying with a 6-1 win. The game took place on October 11 in front of 20,293 fans. RFK Stadium has hosted 18 total U.S. Men's National Team games, putting together a record of 11-3-4 dating back to 1977 - more U.S. wins than any stadium in the world. The average attendance for U.S. games held at RFK Stadium is 30,526.
