Reports: Houston Dynamo linked to two Spanish second-division players

Owen Coyle - Houston Dynamo - Close up

The Houston Dynamo’s offseason has been relatively quiet since the early December acquisitions of Cristian Maidana and Andrew Wenger.

It could be on the verge of heating up again.

Reports uncovered by fan blog Orangeintheoven.com are indicating that the Dynamo are targeting two players from Spain’s second division in midfielder David Rocha and center back Agustin Iñiguez, known as “Agus.”

Spanish outlet el Periodico Extremadura reported that the 30-year-old Rocha, who currently plays for Gimnastic de Tarragona, was offered a two-year deal by the Dynamo. The central midfielder previously played for Albacete.

Marca.com is reporting that Agus, also 30, recently had his contract at Albacete Balompié terminated and has signed with the Dynamo. A product of the Albacete youth system, Agus has played for teams across Spain, including Celta de Vigo and Mallorca.

The Dynamo confirmed that Rocha and Agus are players they have tracked and are on their radar.
