Midfielder Julian de Guzman is reportedly back in the country where he played some of his best years.
Multiple reports on Monday linked the former FC Dallas midfielder with a move to La Liga side RCD Mallorca.
Mallorca Esport, an online sports publication in Spain’s Balearic Islands, reported on Monday that de Guzman was set the train with the club that afternoon. Another website, 91 Minutos, suggsted de Guzman has signed with the club.

There has been no official word from the club, however, and Rogers Sportsnet's John Molinaro tweeted on Monday that de Guzman's agent told him his client hasn't signed with Mallorca, who sit just two points above the relegation zone after finishing eighth last season.
FC Dallas declined to comment on the reports when contacted by MLSsoccer.com.
De Guzman's MLS contract expired at the conclusion of the 2012 season and teams passed on selecting the Canadian national team veteran in last month's Re-Entry Draft. FCD head coach Schellas Hyndman didn't close the door on de Guzman returning to Frisco, but admitted the numbers would make it difficult.
De Guzman became the first Canadian to play in La Liga when he played for Deportivo La Coruña from 2005 through 2009. He became a fan favorite over his 97 games with the club and was the team's player of the season in 2007-08.
There are some significant links between the de Guzman and his prospective club. His brother, Jonathan, played for Mallorca in 2010-11 and the club's current coach, Joaquín Caparrós, was the manager at Deportivo from 2005-07.
