TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
SB Nation blog Hudson River Blue reports that New York City FC could be in on 20-year-old Paraguayan international midfielder Jesus Medina, if Medina himself is to be believed.
The winger for 2017 Paraguayan champions Libertad apparently indicated on local radio that NYCFC were courting him, as were Danish club FC Copenhagen. According to a subsequent report on Sunday out of England, Medina will sign with NYCFC sister club Manchester City and join New York on a season-long loan for 2018.
Medina has been a regular for Libertad over the last two seasons after making his first-team debut in 2012. He received his first cap with Paraguay's senior national team in July.
New York have already made a couple moves since the MLS trade window opened a week ago, signing Swedish defender Anton Tinnerholm, sending defender Frediric Brillant to D.C.in a trade, and acquiring Saad Abdul-Salaam from Kansas Cityin exchange for Khiry Shelton.
