Could highly touted American prospect Junior Flores be on his way to MLS?
According to one report Friday, Borussia Dortmund is looking to loan Flores this summer to either a smaller club in Germany or to an MLS club. Flores plays for Borussia Dortmund II, where he has mostly served as a late substitute.
This isn’t the first time Flores has been linked to MLS. Flores was reported earlier this year to be on his way to Orlando City, but team president Phil Rawlins denied the rumblings as “an internet rumor.”
Flores, the 20-year-old who has spent time with the US under-20 team, was reportedly exploring allegiance to El Salvador last year but ultimately chose to stay committed to the the US national team, for the time being.
