Real Salt Lake are expected to offer Chilean midfielder Cristobal Jorquera a contract, according to a report out of Turkey.
Jorquera, 29, currently plays for Turkish SuperLig club Bursaspor. Turkish site DHA reported on Thursday that Jorquera is not with the team for their midseason training camp and that he’ll leave the club in the current transfer window. He has one assist in 12 league matches this season and one goal and three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.
It was rumored last summer that RSL were interested in Jorquera, who has 12 goals and 11 assists in 75 appearances since joining Bursaspor ahead of the 2015-16 season. Prior to joining Bursaspor, Jorquera spent time in Serie A, recording three goals and eight assists in 52 league appearances across three seasons with Genoa and Parma. He’s appeared four times for the Chilean national team, last appearing for the squad in 2012.
