Nigel Reo-Coker and the Montreal Impact have parted company, it was announced Friday by the club on Twitter.
Reo-Coker appears set for a return to England, according to a report from English outlet HITC Sport that first broke news of the mutual parting of ways.
Reo-Coker’s agent Tony Finnigan told HITC that “Nigel has thoroughly enjoyed his time in America, but talks are ongoing and we will see what the coming weeks hold."
Reo-Coker came to MLS ahead of the 2013 season with the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he appeared in 44 games. He made nine appearances for Chivas USA in 2014 before coming to Montreal last year, appearing 28 times (20 starts) and recording two assists.

Before coming to MLS, Reo Coker played from 2004-07 with West Ham United after spending four seasons with Aston Villa. Crystal Palace, led by Reo-Coker’s former coach at West Ham, Alan Pardew, were reportedly eyeing the former England youth international last summer.
