Original: Tuesday, Jan. 6 @ 4:50 pm ET – After weeks of being linked to Manchester United, 19-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo reportedly also has interest from elsewhere. Namely, the Independiente del Valle player has received offers from an MLS club as well as another club in Europe.
Independiente del Valle general manager Santiago Morales reportedly said the club received proposals from both the MLS club and the European club. By contrast, Independiente del Valle has not received an offer from Manchester United, per Morales.
Morales, according to a second report out of Ecuador, said the MLS offer was "financially the best, by far" of those Independiente del Valle has received for Caicedo. "It will also be necessary to analyze from the football point of view what is best for the player," Morales added.
The general manager also said he expects a decision to be made on Caicedo's future this week.
Caicedo, a central midfielder, is highly rated and has already made four appearances for the senior Ecuador national team.
