What does the future hold for Cristian Pavon?
The LA Galaxy's star midfielder is currently on loan from Boca Juniors. That deal is set to expire at the end of the year, at which point the Galaxy will have to decide whether to purchase his contract outright. But that option would reportedly cost them a hefty amount of cash, rumored to be as high as $20 million.
If the Galaxy don't exercise the option to retain Pavon's services, the agreement dictates he would be headed back to Boca. However, a report emerged from Spanish outlet TYCSports.com claiming Pavon doesn't want to play for Boca again.
The Argentina national teamer seemed to address that report head on in an Instagram post that showed him with a water bottle emblazoned with the Boca logo and the words "Sin Palabras" (No Words).
Pavon has established himself as one of the most talented attackers in MLS since his arrival in August 2019, putting up three goals and eight assists across just 974 minutes. And at just 24, he's got the skill to be a legitimate building block should the Galaxy keep him around.
