Not long after Major League Soccer shot down rumors surrounding Chivas USA that suggested the franchise would be sold, a similar message came down from the Chivas organization in Guadalajara.
According to a report from ESPN Deportes, Dennis te Kloese, the sporting president of Chivas de Guadalajara and Chivas USA, emphatically spoke out against rumors that Chivas de Guadalajara were set to be sold to an ownership group headed by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.
Te Kloese also addressed the media reports surrounding a potential sale and relocation of the Chivas USA.

"It's totally false," te Kloese (above) is quoted as saying by ESPN Deportes. "I'm not saying if the project is solid or not, but that the ownership invested a large quantity of money to buy all of Chivas USA's shares [after the 2012 season] and we can count on the full support of MLS to find an identity, a successful sporting project and little by little grow the credibility and attendance at the stadium.
"I believe he have taken steps on the right path in the past month, but there is still much to do and I know that we can count on the full support of MLS so that it's a success and something [club owners] Jorge [Vergara] and Angélica [Fuentes] can be proud of."
Chivas USA will be in action this Sunday when they welcome Real Salt Lake to the Home Depot Center (10:30 pm ET, watch on MLS Live).
