Two of the hottest teams in the Western Conference square off in Sandy when Real Salt Lake, winners of three of their last four games, host a Minnesota United FC squad on a four-match winning streak.
Real Salt Lake (9-9-2) picked up a third clean sheet in their last four games with a 4-0 thumping of the Philadelphia Union at Rio Tinto Stadium Saturday night. Jefferson Savarino struck for a brace and Albert Rusnak and Damir Kreilach added a goal apiece in the final nine minutes to put the finishing touches on a comprehensive win.
Mason Toye continued his torrid pace to help lift Minnesota United (10-7-3) to a 1-0 win over FC Dallas Saturday at Allianz Field. The second-year forward struck in the first minute of stoppage time, his fourth goal in the last four games and Vito Mannone came up with a penalty-kick save to deny Reto Ziegler at the death to secure all three points.
