Real Salt Lake will seek a second straight home win and move above the playoff line in the Western Conference when they host the struggling Columbus Crew Wednesday night.
RSL (7-8-2) knocked off Sporting Kansas City 2-0 Saturday night with Sam Johnson striking for a first-half brace. Nick Rimando made three saves for the club's fourth clean sheet of the season.
Columbus (5-11-2) stretched a winless streak to six games with a fifth loss in those six, falling 2-0 to Orlando City SC Saturday at MAPFRE Stadium. Chris Mueller put the Lions in front in the 41st minute before Tesho Akindele doubled the advantage in the 66th minute as Nani picked up his second assist.
