and thanks to Hawaiian Airlines, a very happy -- Earthquakes fan. After winning a halftime contest during "Hawaiian Night" at the Earthquakes game on Saturday, August 6, Glen is bound for Honolulu on a trip sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines and Aston ResortQuest.
"It was very exciting," Glen said about being on the field for the contest, and eventually winning. "The crowd was so supportive and very loud."
Glen, a Sunnyvale resident, has always loved soccer, and really became hooked on the sport after attending the 1994 World Cup. Glen's brother used to go to Quakes games, and she started attending regularly in 2002. Now, she brings her three-year old nephew to the games.
Glen is hoping to visit Hawaii in January along with her mother Leanne Cummins. It will be Christina's first trip to Hawaii.
"This will be my first tropical vacation, and first trip to an island," Christina said. "I am looking forward to going to a real luau. I just really want to thank the Earthquakes for everything and wish them good luck with winning another MLS Cup."
