In the latest edition of Inside Video Review, the series that breaks down that week’s Video Review decisions and takes us behind the scenes and inside the room where it happened, Greg Barkey, PRO’s manager of Video Review details both of the calls in Week 29.
Ironically, both decisions took place in Los Angeles. The first was on the LA Galaxy’s first goal against the Montreal Impact where the review process poured over a possible offside call on Cristian Pavon on a ball played from the back on the buildup to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal.
The second review came from Banc of California Stadium where LAFC was taking on Toronto FC. Referee Ted Unkel initially didn’t call for a penalty kick on a foul by Chris Mavinga against Latif Blessing in the box. It was a case of a clear and obvious error and was overturned following Video Review.
