Orlando City unveiled their inaugural MLS jerseys on Wednesday and in the process they officially became the first team in MLS to wear the color purple.
The Lions are one of the few professional sports teams in the United States and around the world to use it as their main color. Orlando City have been using purple as their main color since 2012, and below is a list of their purple brethren in professional US sports and internatioanl soccer.
And let's get one exception out of the way: Although their nickname is El Monstruo Morado, (or The Purple Monster), Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica no longer wear purple jerseys.
