The Portland Timbers will try and extend an unbeaten streak to four games when they host an Orlando City SC squad that can move above the playoff line in the East with a win.
The Timbers (7-8-3) squandered a pair of leads and settled for a 2-2 draw with the Colorado Rapids Saturday at Providence Park. An own goal by Tommy Smith gave Portland a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute, but Jonathan Lewis leveled one minute later. Diego Valeri gave the Timbers a 2-1 lead from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute before Sam Nicholson equalized for Colorado again in the 76th minute.
Orlando City SC (7-9-4) are coming off a 1-0 win over Columbus Crew SC at Exploria Stadium Saturday. Benji Michel scored the lone goal in the 84th minute, his first in MLS, and Brian Rowe made a diving save to deny Harrison Afful moments later to secure all three points.
