Portland Timbers vs. New York Red Bulls

STREAMING: MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, on DAZN in Canada
The Portland Timbers and New York Red Bulls will both look to rebound from losses in Week 28 when they square off in a pivotal midweek clash at Providence Park that impacts playoff races in both the Eastern and Western conferences.
The Timbers (13-12-4) sit just above the playoff line in the West, though level on points with eighth-place FC Dallas, following a 1-0 home loss to D.C. United Sunday afternoon. An own goal by Bill Tulioma in the 25th minute proved to be the difference. Portland hit the woodwork in each half, with Diego Valeri heading off the crossbar in the first half and Jorge Moreira putting a looping cross off the crossbar after halftime.
The slumping Red Bulls (12-13-5) suffered a third consecutive defeat, falling to the Seattle Sounders, 4-2, at CenturyLink Field Sunday afternoon. After Jordan Morris and Nico Lodeiro gave the Rave Green a 2-0 lead after just 23 minutes, Aaron Long pulled the Red Bulls back a goal in the 27th minute and Kaku leveled 40 minutes later. But an own goal by Sean Davis and a second Lodeiro tally inside the final seven minutes sunk the Red Bulls, who are sixth in the East, one point ahead of the New England Revolution.
