The Portland Timbers might have lost their first match of the season in San Jose on Sunday, but the weekend wasn’t all bad for Caleb Porter & Co.
Days after they raised their 2015 MLS Cup championship banner at Providence Park ahead of their season-opening win against Columbus Crew SC, the Timbers received their 2015 championship rings in a private ceremony on Friday night in Portland.
“We wanted to represent a championship in the right way, a classy way,” Porter told Timbers.com, which offers a full set of photos and background on the 91-diamond design.
