Portland Timbers 0, Sporting Kansas City 0 | 2018 MLS Match Recap

In a game between Western Conference contenders, nothing separated the Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City, in a 0-0 draw at Providence Park on Saturday.

The game may not have had the full "playoff" feel to it, but it was clearly a game between contenders with plenty of experience, not willing to concede anything to their opponent.

Defense prevailed overall, with the teams largely even in the major statistical categories. Tim Melia had several notable saves for Sporting, including a last-second stop on a Fanendo Adi header in the 56th minute.
