Poll: Should the US actually be favored against Costa Rica at Copa America?

US national team - Clint Dempsey - Celebrates a goal with teammates

The US takes on Costa Rica at Chicago's Soldier Field on Tuesday (8pm ET | FS1, Univision, UDN), and it seems the Americans are favored â€“ to win the Copa America game outright.

A scan of the game's line indicates a US victory ranking as the likeliest outcome, followed by a draw (~1.5 times less likely) or a victory by Los Ticos (~3.5x).

The expectations are heavily weighted toward the Yanks coming away with a full result, and considering the US need for three points, that's perhaps reassuring to the American fanbase â€¦ as is the 15-match home unbeaten streak the US has run up on Costa Rica since 1989 (13-14-6 overall). Of the current USMNT roster, 17 players have faced Costa Rica at least once, though Clint Dempsey is the lone goalscorer among them.
