Last week, we brought you a look at some of the top 10 features on Orlando City's brand-new home, which they'll inaugurate during regular league play on Sunday, as they host New York City FC (5 pm ET | ESPN, MLS LIVE in Canada).
But on Thursday night, they opened their doors for a little preview game, of sorts: "Kids vs. Pros," which pit, yes, area children against members of both Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride.
Yes, picture an epic, lopsided match featuring the likes of Kaká & Co. swarmed by an army of opponents half their size. The kids, by the way, came out victorious 7-3 over the pros. It's all love, though, as the proceeds from the whole shebang benefitted the Orlando City Foundation.
What else the match provided, though, was an opportunity to really explore the two Orlando pro teams' new digs. And the best part? "The Wall" – the new supporters' safe-standing zone. With marked-off standing areas, specially reinforced capo stands, and an excellent, steep view of the pitch, this proves the crowning element of the whole venue.
Check out a few views of how it looked in the calm before Sunday's storm.
