As they near the end of their best regular season in club history, the Philadelphia Union are hoping to enter the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs on a high.
So there will certainly be some extra nerves in Philly after captain Alejandro Bedoya exited Sunday’s Week 30 game in Columbus with a leg injury.
Bedoya held his right leg while making a pass and limped off the rainy field shortly before halftime. The club later revealed that the veteran midfielder strained his quad.
Bedoya has four goals and four assists this season, including, most recently, a goal in Wednesday’s big road win in San Jose.
Not long after Bedoya's injury, Sunday's game went into a weather delay due to thunderstorms following a scoreless first half.
