Orlando City SC have acquired Honduran U-20 defensive midfielder Devron García, the club announced Wednesday.
He comes to Orlando as a discovery signing from CD Victoria of the Honduran First Division.
“We are thrilled to bring Devron on board,” coach Adrian Heath said in a statement. “He’s a young, talented and versatile player with a lot of potential to grow into a strong asset for the team.”
He has played for Honduras' U-17 and U-20 teams, representing his country at the FIFA U-20 World Cup with Orlando City forward Bryan Róchez. García, 19, began his professional career with CD Victoria in 2013, playing in 39 matches and tallying three goals.
