Four points below the playoff line in the Eastern Conference, Orlando City SC look to respond from back-to-back losses when they host an LAFC side smarting from a first home defeat of the season.
Orlando (9-13-7) were shut out for a second consecutive match and have now scored just three goals in their last five following a 3-0 loss against the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday night at Avaya Stadium. Chris Wondolowski scored a first-half brace after Magnus Eriksson put the hosts in front after three minutes.
LAFC (19-4-5) suffered their first loss since July 19 and first defeat at home, falling to Minnesota United 2-0 Sunday night. Mason Toye struck for a first-half brace to lead the Loons, while LAFC were without injured superstar Carlos Vela, who sat with a hamstring injury sustained in a 3-3 draw with the LA Galaxy August 25.
