The Big O will be filled to capacity for the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship series between the Montreal Impact and Toronto FC on Tuesday (8 pm ET; ESPN in the US, TSN1/3, RDS in Canada), the Impact announced.
Montreal revealed on Tuesday morning that all tickets to Tuesday night’s match at Olympic Stadium have sold out.
The crowd of 61,004 will tie for the best attendance in Impact history. Montreal, who normally play their games outdoors at the neighboring Stade Saputo, also sold-out Olympic Stadium for the second leg of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League final against Club America in April 2015.
The match will be the second-most attended playoff game in MLS history, falling just short of the record 61,316 fans that filled Gillette Stadium for MLS Cup 2002.
The Impact also announced that supporters will take part in a giant mosaic display as the players walk onto the field prior to the national anthem. Toronto will host Montreal in Leg 2 of the series next Wednesday, Nov. 30.
