TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
New York City FC signed 2019 MLS SuperDraft pick Abdi Mohamed and sent the defender on a season-long loan to Memphis 901 FC, the club announced Saturday.
NYCFC will have the right to recall Mohamed at any time during the loan period.
The 23-year-old, who was selected 43rd overall in the SuperDraft, appeared in all 24 matches for the University of Akron in 2018, scoring one goal and adding five assists, helping lead the Zips to the College Cup Final.
