TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Re-signed
NYCFC have re-signed midfielder Tony Rocha to a new contract, the club announced Monday.
Rocha, 26, made 17 appearances in his first season with the club after being acquired from Orlando City SC. The Belize international featured for Orlando City B, Saint Louis FC and the Austin Aztex in USL during his career.
“We’re really pleased that Tony has signed a new contract with the Club which is well deserved after his performances last season," NYCFC sporting director David Lee said in a club statement. "Tony proved to be a valuable member of our team, playing multiple positions across the season and became an important part of our locker room. We’re excited for Tony to continue his development at NYCFC and delighted he’ll be with us moving forward.”
NYCFC finished atop the Eastern Conference in 2019 with a club-record 64 points, though fell in the Conference Semifinals to Toronto FC.
