Two clubs in the thick of the chase for playoff positioning meet in an interconference matchup as New York City FC play host to Real Salt Lake on Thursday evening at Yankee Stadium. NYCFC sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, remaining at home for a third consecutive match after a late 2-2 draw with Orlando City SC last Sunday afternoon. Real sit in fourth in the Western Conference, their first-ever visit to The Bronx ending a five-game road swing that saw a fourth defeat last weekend in a 4-3 loss at Columbus Crew SC.
