“We are delighted to welcome Jon Patricof to New York City FC. He has the experience, the passion and the vision to build on the excellent work that Tom Glick has been implementing,” said Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group and Managing Director of NYCFC, in a press release. “He joins a club already rooted in the five boroughs of New York and with solid foundations across the board. I am looking forward to working with him.”
Glick will continue in his role until March and will remain in New York through the spring to aid in the transition process before he assumes a new tasking overseeing commerical activities for the whole City Football Group. Patricof will report to Soriano.
“I am pleased to be part of the preparations for our second season and to work with Jon as he settles into his new role in March,” Glick said. “I know what a bright future NYCFC will have under his leadership, alongside our superb Sporting Director, Claudio Reyna and our new Head Coach, Patrick Vieira.”

A native New Yorker, Patricof helped develop Tribeca Enterprises over the last 11 years into a globally recognized media company, growing the Festival into a major New York and global institution. He spearheaded landmark partnerships, including an investment by Madison Square Garden into Tribeca in 2014 and the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival in partnership with ESPN. Previously, he served as an executive in the Strategic Planning Department at The Walt Disney Company.
“I cannot wait to get started at NYCFC, a great club that has already had a significant impact on the New York community in its first year,” Patricof said. “There are tremendous opportunities for growth and I am looking forward to working with Patrick, Claudio and the front office team to deliver a great experience for our fans, partners and for New Yorkers.”
