New York City FC announced prior to Saturday's match at the New England Revolution that midfielder Alex Ring is expected to miss four weeks with a right knee injury.
Ring picked up the injury while in camp with the Finland national team. He was not in the team nor on the bench for Friday's 0-0 friendly draw against Macedonia.
Prior to Week 4, Ring had gone the distance in all three matches for NYCFC this season. Ebenezer Ofori started in his place on Saturday.
