2019 MLS Regular Season - Week 11
New England Revolution vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Gillette Stadium — Foxborough
May 11 - 7:30 PM ET
STREAMING: MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, on DAZN in Canada
Will a midweek coaching change provide the spark needed for the New England Revolution to end a downward spiral that included consecutive lopsided defeats to Eastern Conference foes? It won't be easy Saturday night with the San Jose Earthquakes bringing a four-match unbeaten streak to Gillette Stadium.
The Revs (2-8-2) parted ways with Brad Friedel shortly after New England lost 5-0 at Chicago on Wednesday night, which came on the heels of a 6-1 defeat at Philadelphia last Saturday night. Mike Lapper takes over on an interim basis while the club begins a search for a permanent replacement.
San Jose (3-5-2) moved above the playoff line in the Western Conference following a 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati at Avaya Stadium last Saturday night. Nick Lima scored the lone goal for the Quakes, who played the final 39 minutes down a man after Cristian Espinoza was sent off for his second bookable offense.
