The New England Revolution are looking to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season when they host Nashville SC Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.
After their first Foxborough win of the season, the Revs (5W-3L-6D) defeated D.C. United 2-0 Sunday, while Nashville SC (4W-5L-4D) conceded a late equalizer and were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Houston Dynamo at Nissan Stadium Saturday.
The Revs head into this first all-time meeting solidly entrenched in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, five points in front of ninth-place Nashville.
New England Revolution
Just four minutes from a 0-0 draw against D.C. United, Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa scored in the waning moments to lead the Revs to a second straight win which extended an unbeaten run to three matches. New England lost Matt Polster to a head injury during the game and Bruce Arena confirmed Alexnader Buttner suffered a strained hamstring against the Impact in the midweek. Outside of the injuries, Arena had few complaints.
"Certainly, that was the best game we’ve played this year," Arena said after the match. "It was a complete game, we had to work real hard. D.C. United needed to get a result tonight and they pushed us. We did a good job in all aspects of the game, so that was certainly something I’m pleased with. Hopefully it continues. Our guys are going to need a couple of days off, because it’s been a real grind this past week.

Nashville SC
Daniel Rios struck in the 49th minute, after having a goal called back fo offside, but Maynor Figueroa leveled a minute from full time as Nashville SC were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Dynamo Saturday afternoon at Nissan Stadium. It was a disappointing result for the expansion side, but coach Gary Smith was more upset about the call that wiped off Rios' first goal.
"It's a really difficult one," said Smith after the match. "I've only seen the camera angle on the jumbo screen out in the field and I've got to say when the ball is played — we're talking about extremely fine lines. I can only assume that whoever is in the VAR position has got a better angle and has made the right choice. I'm bitterly disappointed having seen it on the jumbo screen."
