TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The New England Revolution have signed first-round SuperDraft selection (No. 11 overall) DeJuan Jones, the club announced Monday. The midfielder has featured for the club this preseason.
Jones, 21, had 16 goals and 14 assists across 75 appearances during a four-year career at Michigan State. The attacker was named to the second-team All-Big Ten Conference in back-to-back campaigns in 2017 and 2018, while helping the Spartans to a 2018 College Cup Semifinal appearance.
Jones' stock rose at the MLS Combine, as he finished first among Combine participants in the 30-meter dash and 5-10-5 shuttle run and third in the vertical jump. He was the only prospect to feature in the top 10 for all three categories.
He has been featuring on the wing for Brad Friedel in preseason and should add depth at that position.
